Shipping policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

PEAK ships Australia-wide and to selected international destinations from our Melbourne warehouse. Shipping is quoted live at checkout based on the size, weight and dimensions of the items in your order, the delivery address and the service available to it. Most of what we sell is oversized freight, so dimensions and destination drive the price far more than weight does.

Dispatch times

In-stock items are typically dispatched within 1 to 2 business days of your order being placed. During promotions, holiday periods and new product launches this can extend by a few days. Dispatch times are estimates, not guarantees.

Pre-order and backordered items ship when stock lands. The expected timing is shown on the product page at the time of purchase, and backorders typically arrive within 4 to 8 weeks. Manufacturing schedules, shipping congestion and customs clearance can move these dates, and we will keep you informed if they do. Once stock arrives, these orders are dispatched within 2 business days. If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, we will usually hold it to ship complete; contact us if you need the in-stock items sooner and we will quote a split shipment.

Transit times

Once dispatched, metropolitan deliveries generally arrive within 2 to 7 business days. Regional, remote, Western Australian and Northern Territory deliveries take longer, particularly for bulky freight. Transit times are set by the carrier and are estimates only. Deliveries are made on business days unless the carrier offers otherwise.

Delivery addresses

Please provide a full street address with a contact phone number, and make sure the address can accept the kind of delivery you have ordered. Freight carriers do not deliver to PO Boxes or parcel lockers; those are only suitable for small items sent by a postal service, where offered at checkout. You are responsible for the accuracy of your delivery details, and costs caused by an incorrect or incomplete address, including redelivery, redirection and return freight, are passed on at the carrier's rate.

Residential and business addresses

Checkout rates depend on whether the address is residential or a business. A business address is a commercial premises with standard receiving hours and access for a truck. If you select business and the carrier finds the address is residential (including a home-based business), the carrier applies its residential surcharges, which may include a tailgate truck, hand unload or rebooking fees. These charges are payable before delivery proceeds. PEAK is not responsible for delays caused by address reclassification.

Bulky and oversized freight

Canopies, roller covers, bull bars, roof platforms, wheels and similar items travel by freight truck, not by parcel courier. A few things to know before you order:

  • Freight is delivered to the kerb, driveway or dock. Drivers do not carry items inside or onto a property.
  • Someone needs to be present to receive, inspect and sign for the delivery. For heavy items the driver may need a hand to unload unless a tailgate service has been quoted.
  • Carriers deliver within a window on a business day; most cannot offer timed deliveries.
  • Depot collection is not offered. All freight is delivered to the address on your order.

Remote and extended delivery areas

Carriers classify some postcodes as remote or extended service areas, and these attract a surcharge that is included in your checkout quote. Classifications are set by the carriers and change from time to time. Postcodes currently treated as remote include, but are not limited to:

Northern Territory: 0822, 0852, 0872, 0880, 0885, 0886. New South Wales: 2627, 2628, 2630 to 2633, 2890, 2898, 2899. Warehouse collection

Collection is available for selected orders from our fulfilment partner Bulk Group at 147 Bayliss Road, Dandenong South VIC 3175, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, excluding public holidays. This is a working freight warehouse, not a retail counter, so collection is by arrangement only: we will email you when your order is ready and send our pickup instructions with that email. Do not attend before you receive it.

Bring your PEAK order number, wear hi-vis and enclosed shoes, and bring a vehicle that will fit your order along with straps to secure it. Securing the load is your responsibility.

Tracking

Every domestic shipment is tracked. You will receive automated tracking notifications from our freight partner by email, and by SMS where a mobile number was provided, once the consignment is booked. Keep an eye on the tracking, and if a shipment looks stalled or has not arrived within the expected window, email support@peakbuilt.com.au so we can open an investigation with the carrier straight away.

Authority to leave

If you authorise the carrier to leave your delivery unattended, or instruct us to do so, risk in the goods passes to you when the carrier records the delivery. PEAK is not responsible for loss, theft or damage after a confirmed delivery. For high value items we recommend signature on delivery.

International orders

We ship to selected countries, and rates are shown at checkout where a service is available. International orders are shipped on a delivered duties unpaid basis: import duties, taxes, brokerage and any local charges are the recipient's responsibility and are collected by the carrier or customs authority before release. We cannot mark orders as gifts or understate values. Customs processing can add time to delivery and is outside our control. If a shipment is refused or abandoned because charges were not paid, the return and disposal costs are deducted from any refund.

Receiving your delivery, damage and claims

Inspect your delivery when it arrives and before anything is installed. If there is visible damage to the packaging or the goods, note it on the driver's proof of delivery where possible, photograph the item and the packaging, and email us within 3 business days of delivery. Keep the item and all packaging as delivered until the claim is resolved. Incorrect items must not be opened, installed or altered. Our Refund Policy sets out how damage, incorrect item and warranty claims are handled.
