Refund policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

This policy covers returns, refunds, transit damage and warranty for products purchased from PEAK, a trading name of Noah Industries Pty Ltd (ABN 86 649 230 553). It should be read together with our Shipping Policy, Terms of Service and Cancellations policy.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The benefits under our warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies those rights. Where this policy sets out time limits, conditions or exclusions, they apply to the extent permitted by law.

Check your order before you install anything

Inspect every item as soon as it arrives and before it is fitted. Confirm that the part is correct for your vehicle, that nothing is missing and that there is no damage. If anything is wrong, email support@peakbuilt.com.au with your order number and photos before installation begins. Keep all original packaging until the matter is resolved.

Once a product has been installed, we treat it as accepted as correct and complete. Claims for incorrect, incomplete or visibly damaged items that were installed anyway may be declined, except where the Australian Consumer Law provides otherwise.

Transit damage and lost freight

We ship with reputable, tracked carriers, but freight damage can still happen. Report transit damage within 3 business days of the carrier's delivery confirmation. Claims lodged after that window may be declined because carriers will not accept them from us.

To lodge a transit damage claim, send us your order number, photos of the damage, photos of the packaging and the carrier label, and a short description of what happened. Do not install, discard or alter the damaged item or its packaging until we confirm the claim is closed. If the damage is obvious at the time of delivery, note it on the driver's proof of delivery where you can.

A shipment is treated as lost only after the carrier has completed its investigation. An item is not lost where the delivery address supplied was incorrect or incomplete, where tracking shows it is still in transit, or where the carrier confirms delivery or an authority to leave was given.

Incorrect or missing items

If we have sent the wrong item or something is missing from your order, email us within 3 business days of delivery and we will put it right at our cost. Incorrect items must be returned unused and in their original packaging.

Change of mind returns

We accept change of mind returns on standard stock items where you contact us within 14 days of delivery and we approve the return in writing. The product must be unused, uninstalled, complete, in its original packaging and in resalable condition. A 20% restocking fee applies, original shipping charges are not refunded, and return freight is at your cost and risk. We recommend using a tracked, insured service.

Change of mind returns are not accepted on:

  • Pre-orders, deposits, staged payments and other purchase options (see our Cancellations policy)
  • Custom, made-to-order, special order and indent items
  • Products that have been installed, used, modified or damaged after delivery
  • Products not in their original, complete packaging
  • Clearance and sale items
  • Gift cards

Refunds

Once a return has been received, inspected and approved, the refund is issued to the original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to show the funds. If a refund has not appeared 15 business days after we confirmed it, contact support@peakbuilt.com.au and we will trace it.

Refunds are not issued for items returned without prior approval, returned incomplete, or returned in a condition that does not match what was approved. Where a return is rejected, we will contact you to arrange its return to you at your cost.

Warranty on PEAK products

PEAK branded products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months or 50,000 kilometres from the date of purchase, whichever occurs first, unless a longer period is stated on the product page. PEAK shock absorbers are warranted for 3 years or 60,000 kilometres, whichever occurs first. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and to products purchased from PEAK or an authorised PEAK reseller in Australia.

Where a product is found to be defective, PEAK will repair or replace the defective component at its discretion. If the product has been discontinued, we will supply the closest current equivalent. Labour, installation and removal costs, wheel alignment, diagnostics, vehicle downtime and other consequential costs are not covered by this warranty, except where the Australian Consumer Law provides otherwise.

Products from other brands sold by PEAK are covered by the manufacturer's warranty for that brand. Contact us first and we will coordinate the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Installation requirements

Products must be installed by a suitably qualified and licensed workshop or mechanic with experience in the relevant product category, following the supplied instructions and the vehicle manufacturer's specifications. Suspension components must have a safety check after the first 500 kilometres, and a wheel alignment after any suspension installation is strongly recommended. Both are at your cost. Faults caused by incorrect installation, incorrect application, missing or incorrect fasteners, or fitting with incompatible or non-genuine components are not warranty defects.

What the warranty does not cover

  • Normal wear and tear, including bushes, consumables, finishes and surface corrosion caused by environmental exposure
  • Damage from misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, collision, recovery operations or overloading beyond the product's stated rating
  • Racing, competition, mining, rental, hire or extreme commercial use
  • Products that have been modified, repaired by a third party or used outside their intended purpose
  • Products fitted to a vehicle for which they are not listed, or fitted partially where a complete system is required
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect function and was not reported on delivery

How to make a claim

Email support@peakbuilt.com.au with your order number, a description of the fault, clear photos or video, and the vehicle details and odometer reading where relevant. We assess every claim and will tell you what happens next, which may include a request to return the product or component for inspection. Do not send anything back until we have issued a return authorisation and the return address; unauthorised returns may be refused.

Where a claim is accepted under the Australian Consumer Law, we cover or reimburse reasonable freight costs. Where a claim is accepted under our voluntary warranty only, freight to us is at your cost and we cover the freight of the repaired or replacement item back to you. If a claim is rejected, we will explain why and any return freight is at your cost.
